HOW THE PROGRAM BEGAN
In 2014, the Archdiocese established the “C3RS”, a team of technology resource specialists to assist parishes and schools improve their use of technology. To date, the C3RS team has made over 2000 site visits, providing guidance and expertise in use of all types of technology. The C3RS Team also provides technical support to E-rate Consortium projects. The troubleshooting, problem-solving, planning, follow up and documentation that the C3RS team provides are important cost-free services. For assistance email c3specialist@la-archdiocese.org.
HOW THEY CAN HELP
NEEDS ASSESSMENT:
C3RS assess a parish or school site's current situation and determine if there are any areas that can be improved. They also provide guidance throughout the process of any improvements a parish or school choses to make from start to finish.
TROUBLESHOOT PROBLEMS:
If a parish or school site experiences any kind of interruption in internet, or phone service, the C3RS can help to assess the issue and help find temporary and permanent solutions.
PLAN AND IMPLEMENT:
C3RS can assist parish and school sites in creating an effective and efficient technology plan for their ministry. This includes, but is not limited to equipment purchase/lease contracts and software or website purchases.
FOLLOW-UP:
C3RS will monitor project progress, upgrade installments and new software or devices delivery and set-up.
