At OLALA (Online Learning @ the Archdiocese of Los Angeles), students are the first priority. We're committed to providing quality education consistent with the principles of the Catholic Church and the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, superior student resources, and affordable tuition.
OLALA includes courses for high school and middle school students, taught in partnership with our Catholic High Schools and moderated by their teachers as extensions of their curriculum, or through the Catholic Education Foundation or Religious Education Department at the Archdiocese or Los Angeles. Access to these courses is generally through the schools' course registration process.
The OLALA courses for adults include:
* Catholic Social Teaching and Forming Consciences for Faithful Citizenship, a course for voters to educate themselves on the framework for political engagement in light of Catholic values. (Click "Log in as guest.")
* How to Navigate the Annulment Process, for those considering approaching the Tribunal about a prior marriage. This news release describes the course and how to get in.
* Reporting Suspected Child Abuse and Neglect, for all mandated reporters and anyone interested in understanding the process for reporting abuse.
* ON LINE MINISTRY FORMATION CENTERS 2020 – OFFICE OF RELIGIOUS EDUCATION
* A Youth Ministry Specialization series
* Infant Baptism course (in Spanish and English) for parents and godparents
* How to Implement an Immigration Workshop at your Parish
(Most adult courses are offered at no charge, and some are open to the public)
